National Social Work Month

Our Social Workers serve as a lifeline to many of our residents. We are so appreciative of all they do! In honor of National Social Work Month, we took the time to interview the social workers on our staff to get their take.

ELIZABETH:

What do you love most about your job?

“I love interacting with the residents and their families, especially getting to know a resident by hearing about their lives and their stories.”

What makes MPA so special?

“I think MPA’s team approach is what makes this place so special. The staff works well and has fun together.”

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

STEPHANIE:

“I love being able to know and connect with our patients and their families. It means a lot to know that we are able to make their experience here a positive one by relieving their worries and stress.”

What makes MPA so special?

“MPA truly cares for the well being of the residents and it is nice to see that there are positive changes in the works.”

What is the most difficult aspect of your job or social work in general?

“The most difficult part is ensuring that patients and families have the resources they need when they are discharged home. There is a lot of help in the Community and it is important the patients and families are aware of their options! It can be difficult when patients are not from the area, so we spend a lot of time researching all over NJ, NY, and PA.”
